Hi. I'm Dave Whittingham.
[00:00:08] - [Speaker 1]
And I'm Kate Morris. And we just have a tiny little it's not really an episode, just a little hello, because we wanna update you on a few things, and give you a little bit of information about what might be happening next.
[00:00:21] - [Speaker 0]
Yeah. It's really exciting that over just over a year now, actually, the the podcast has been really growing and spreading both in Australia and also around the world. And it's been so lovely to hear some of the stories of people who have been enjoying it.
[00:00:39] - [Speaker 1]
Yeah. It has. I think that's been my favorite part, actually, because we keep on having messages and emails from people telling us that this resonates with them, that, there are aspects of their life that this podcast has helped or given them things to think about or talk about. I absolutely love hearing from listeners. I find it very encouraging.
[00:01:01] - [Speaker 1]
And so, yeah, please keep that up. And even it's been amazing, hasn't it, Dave? Even since the end of the second season, we've had a little break. But even during that time, people are still finding the podcast and writing to us. So even while we've paused, it's been really cool to see that you listeners haven't paused.
[00:01:20] - [Speaker 0]
Absolutely. We are. We've been in the podcast charts. Yes. Been releasing episodes.
[00:01:25] - [Speaker 0]
Yeah. That's not bad. And, also, it's, it's exciting. It's a it is really is going around the world. So the podcast, Kate, has been played in 56 different countries around
[00:01:38] - [Speaker 1]
the world.
[00:01:38] - [Speaker 0]
56 countries.
[00:01:40] - [Speaker 1]
Yeah. Oh, wow.
[00:01:42] - [Speaker 0]
I didn't So, you know, Australia, United States, UK, so English speaking countries, but it's been played in France. It's been played in Germany. It's been played in Uzbekistan. Oh, yeah. Shout out to people in Taiwan and Malaysia and China, all over the place, even in Uruguay and Egypt.
[00:02:01] - [Speaker 0]
So, you know, in every corner of the planet, it's really exciting that people can be thinking about things because we wanna really love and support people and be a resource for helping people to love their kids.
[00:02:15] - [Speaker 1]
Isn't that cool? I just love so much that, like, the gospel is the gospel. The Bible is the Bible. Jesus is the head of the global church. I just love that no matter where you live, no matter where we where we live, we are all, connected in that way.
[00:02:33] - [Speaker 1]
And that thinking through being Christians, being families, being members of churches, being people who are all love neurodivergent people, yeah, that that unites us. And so that's really special. It's nice to see that connection, isn't it, that we have that connection, all of us around the world in that way?
[00:02:53] - [Speaker 0]
Absolutely. It's great to be part of the huge Christian family. We are looking forward to kicking off our third season, and we're gonna be hopefully doing that soon. And, Kate, we've got some great things lined up for season three, don't we?
[00:03:06] - [Speaker 1]
Yeah. We do. We've got some guests who have lived experience either as neurodivergent people or, people in other ways, connected to, you know, loving, supporting, living with neurodivergent people. So it's gonna be really helpful, I think, to get little windows into lives that, might be the same as yours as a listener or might be quite different. And we've also got people who are in academia, who'll talk to us and think through some of the big heavy questions that we keep getting sent and a few others as well.
[00:03:36] - [Speaker 1]
So we've got some great guests lined up and also some great topics. We've noticed that as people request topics, some of them overlap quite often. And so it's time to address some of these, which is really exciting to think about.
[00:03:49] - [Speaker 0]
Yeah. Absolutely. I guess one of the hardest things that there's been about kicking off season three is finances. So no one pays us to do this. We're really keen to support you as families in, in caring for neurodivergent kids, but we do need your help.
[00:04:09] - [Speaker 0]
We're really thankful for the donations that have come in, but we really need to reach $3,000, which will help to support season three. It won't really cover everything, but it will, be a great help to us so that we can keep doing this.
[00:04:27] - [Speaker 1]
Yeah. Absolutely. It's funny, Dave. I was, chatting to a mom just recently a couple of weekends ago who asked how we're going with the with raising the money. And I said to her, you know, we do need some more funds.
[00:04:41] - [Speaker 1]
And she said, oh, yeah. I I hear you asking for that, but I never have given to a podcast before. And I'm like, yes. Neither have I. So it was a helpful wake up, actually, that, yeah.
[00:04:54] - [Speaker 1]
You know, if it's something you value, something you support, and if God has given you the funds to be able to support us, please do partner with the us in this way because it's a really we're really keen to keep on going, but the reality is we live in a world where we do need finances. So please, if you can it's a couple of steps, but I reckon you can do it within two minutes. So if you're able to, please head to our website, faithfulgod.net. And if you just scroll down, there's a button there that says donate to neurodivergence family and faith, and that'll take you through to our GoFundMe page so you can securely donate to us. We really, really appreciate you getting on board with us and partnering with us in that way.
[00:05:41] - [Speaker 0]
Yeah. That would be a huge help. But we are excited to launch season three. It's gonna be coming very soon. Please, consider donating, and we'll talk again in the not too distant future.
[00:05:54] - [Speaker 1]
We can't wait. We'll see you then. Bye. Bye.
[00:06:00] - [Speaker 0]
Because I never rabid on about anything.
[00:06:03] - [Speaker 1]
Neither of us do, so that's really good.
[00:06:07] - [Speaker 0]
You're better at being strict and
[00:06:09] - [Speaker 1]
Not in a negative way. No. No. I heard it. I heard it.
[00:06:13] - [Speaker 1]
It's okay. It's no shit. No.
[00:06:18] - [Speaker 0]
No. As soon as the words were out, it was like, oh, that's gonna come out badly.
[00:06:22] - [Speaker 1]
Being too honest now. That's what you thought, isn't it?
